So, occasionally, I speak with a bride who has a cousin or an uncle or other random family member who has a nice camera, and they’re “pretty good at taking pictures.” Although there are many reasons to choose a photographer who has experience with weddings to capture yours, here is an example of something that the amateur photographer (even one who is really good with a camera) might not be able to do for you. Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day (or at least everyone I’ve met so far 😉 ). If you have a random spot pop up the night before due to the stress of putting together your epic wedding, you don’t want it showing up in the pictures. After all, that’s not you! That’s just some random creeper who happened to be there on one of the most important days of your life. You certainly don’t want him hanging around in every tangible memory from that day. So, be sure to hire someone who will take him out with the ruthlessness and precision of a mobster. Venue: South Gay Street
