Katie and Paul Get Married in Cades Cove — Knoxville Wedding Photographer

The Smoky Mountains look so pretty in the fall. A couple of weeks ago, I joined Katie and Paul there for their wedding ceremony. They are very outdoorsy—they enjoy camping, hiking, etc.—so Cades Cove was a perfect fit for them. When we arrived around 9am at the spot they picked, there was still plenty of fog in and around the mountains. That was probably a good thing since Katie got changed after we arrived there. That’s what the woods are for, right? 🙂 I just loved the footwear she chose. Perfect for the venue!

They were so silly!

This is one of the ring bearers. The two girls were still pretty bundled up because it was a bit chilly that morning.

We hiked down into the middle of the meadow, and Katie’s mom seemed to be having a blast–she loves taking pictures.

As the sun started coming out, it began to burn the fog off of the mountains creating a really nifty backdrop. They decided to have their friends and family “warm their rings” by having them pass the rings around and fill them with well-wishes before they were exchanged. It was very sweet and moving. This was a particularly emotional time for Paul and his family members. They recently lost his father who was supposed to perform the ceremony. Paul’s brother stepped in to take over those duties, but his father was certainly there in the minds of the family as you can see by the photo his mother carried.

Goofs. 🙂

Here you can see the difference from when we first arrived to when we finished up…

Congratulations Katie and Paul!!!
