Kelly and Steve’s Fall Engagement — Sevierville Wedding Photographer

I have a new, fun couple to share with you. 🙂 Kelly and Steve prove that young love isn’t just for the twenty-somethings.

Here is their story:

“Steve and I met on June 29th of 2010.  I had recently lost my job due to the facility I worked at shutting down so I had been interviewing with a company for about a month and turned the first job offer down.  They called me back a month later with another position they had open up which turned out to be Steve’s direct supervisor.

It was not love at first sight. It was actually a bitter few months because he was forced to train me on some things.

It wasn’t until about six months later when I lost a bet to him that something changed. I had to own up on the bet and buy him a drink after one of our catering events, and we hit it off from there.

He proposed on September 30, 2012 on Sunday morning when we were reading the paper.  He pulled up a picture of a ring (my soon to be engagement ring) on my laptop.  He handed me the laptop and asked me if I liked that ring.

Obviously, I said yes–it was gorgeous! He then handed me a box which was wrapped in about 20 layers of jewelry store wrapping paper and tape that seemed to take 10 minutes to open it.  Inside was that pretty ring on the computer screen.

Then he popped the question!

It was definitely a unique proposal that I was not expecting.” –Kelly

Congratulations Steve and Kelly!!
