If you’re looking for nature-inspired engagement photo ideas, the best Knoxville engagement photo locations, or wedding planning inspiration, you’ll love this session as much as I do!
A Love Story That Began in the Classroom
Some love stories start in unexpected places—for Megan and Nick, it all began in an English class at MTSU in 2010.
They were just classmates at first, running into each other here and there. But it wasn’t until Valentine’s Day in 2013 that Nick made his move. And what a move it was!
Nick’s Sweet Valentine’s Day Surprise:
✔️ He gave Megan an unknown address and told her to drive there.
✔️ When she arrived, she found dinner waiting for her on the roof of a building, complete with balloons, gifts, and a romantic setup.
✔️ Talk about a perfect first date!
From that moment on, their love story began to unfold like a beautiful novel. And just a little over a year later, Nick planned another unforgettable moment.
A Romantic Proposal with a Hidden Photographer
Nick knew that when the time came to propose, it had to be just as meaningful as their love story.
In April of the following year, he planned a date at Fine Senses, an elegant and intimate setting that would set the mood for the big question.
How Nick Pulled Off the Perfect Proposal:
✔️ He asked Megan’s dad for permission first (extra points for tradition!).
✔️ He arranged for a hidden photographer to capture the moment.
✔️ When the moment was just right, he got down on one knee and asked Megan to spend forever with him.
And of course—she said YES!

The Engagement Session: A Day of Love & Laughter
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Megan and Nick are a perfect match.
Some of My Favorite Moments from Their Engagement Session:
✔️ Megan’s radiant smile – Seriously, it’s so infectious! Every shot felt full of joy.
✔️ The way Nick looked at Megan – The kind of love you can’t fake.
✔️ The stunning dogwood trees in full bloom – A photographer’s dream!
✔️ The balance of elegance and playfulness – Their chemistry made every photo feel effortless.
Black & White Magic: Normally, I lean toward color photography, but this session was one of those rare times when the black and white images stood out just as much. Something about the contrast made Megan’s eyes pop even more, and the vintage feel suited their love story beautifully.
