If you’re looking for a venue that has rustic country elegance, The Barn at Chestnut Springs might be the place for you.
It is a beautiful, weathered-wood barn, and, when they were preparing it to host weddings,
they flipped the roof over so that the aged patina could be seen from the inside.
The barn has a dressing area on each side–one for the bride and one for the groom.
They are large enough to comfortably fit 5-6 people getting ready, and the lady’s dressing area has a private restroom attached.
Outside, there is a lovely patio with an arbor which is where most couples choose to get married.
Melanie, the proprietor, makes sure her brides are well taken care of.
She even includes a lot of pieces you might otherwise have to rent along with the space itself such as chairs, tables, and plain linens.
Along with the barn itself, there are some great photo spots on the property. One of my favorites is a swing in an old tree near the back of the property. Melanie and her husband keep a golf cart on hand the day of the ceremony to shuttle the bride around–no one wants her to have to walk around more than necessary in heels! Behind the tree is a weathered old shed which gives great texture for photos. Another great photo spot is across the road in a field–there’s a great view of the mountains that provides an amazing backdrop.
I have been lucky enough to photograph several weddings at The Barn,
and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place with this type of aesthetic.
